Whitecroft started off at a gallop with Potts and Jupe putting on 54 in the first 6 overs. A change of bowlers slowed their progress. When Chris Hebberd got Andy Potts caught for 34 Whitecroft began to struggle. Then 15 year old Kieran Thompson came on and took 4 wickets for 16 runs.
