Coach Official Volunteer Scholarships

The scholarship scheme allows clubs to support their volunteers in attending training course, by off-set the cost of training and examination.

The objectives are to:
· Encourage individuals to take the first step into coaching, officiating or volunteering by completing the appropriate governing body’s award scheme
· Assist the development of existing qualified coaches, officials and volunteers through additional, higher level, awards and courses.

How large is the Scholarship?
Awards will be made to off-set the cost of training and examination. The following condition applies:-
• It must be a recognised National Governing Body award, where up to 75% of the total cost, to a maximum of £500, could be awarded per candidate. This may include a first Governing Body qualification or progression from an existing level to a higher level qualification.

When are scholarships awarded?
Application forms are accepted throughout the year, but awards are made quarterly in June, September, December and March.
