Isle of Wight Cricket

Duncan Mills - Director (Deputy Chair & Safeguarding)

I have a love of sport and trained as a PE teacher with a specialism in football, cricket and tennis.

I moved to the Island in 2006 to join my extended family. I am currently the Executive Head teacher of the Cornerstone Federation (Niton Primary and The Bay CE School) which keeps me very busy! I joined the Board in December 2018 to help promote cricket across the Island as my son is a keen/active member of Ventnor Cricket Club.

I firmly believe that sport offers young people the opportunity to enjoy, grow and flourish in a multitude of ways.

More recently I have supported the Board in developing our approach to safeguarding to ensure all children and young people are safe whilst training or playing cricket.

I am willing and would be happy to join the Board for a further year if my nomination is supported by Island Clubs. I believe I offer a balanced view with regard to ensuring cricket opportunities are provided to all our young aspiring cricketers.
