‘Open Weekend 2010’ will take place on 23 - 25 July, as we start the countdown to two years to go to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Open Weekend 2010 hopes to inspire others to get involved in sport, art and culture across the UK. This year London2012 are asking for organisations (including sports clubs!) to provide free activities and events for people to participate in.
Therefore if you, as a sports club would like to get involved in the celebration, all you need to do is provide a free activity on the weekend of 23 to 25 July. Your event or activity (and therefore sports club) will then be publicised both by London2012 on their official website and also locally through the IOW ‘Open Weekend 2010’ Brochure.
If you think you would like to be involved or would simply just like further information then please complete the attached document and return to the Sports Unit by the 15th March.
