The Island won the toss and put Oxfordshire into bat first. Gary Cooper and Mark Millwood opened the bowling and restricted the opening partnership to 15 runs off the first 11 overs.
K Thompson came on to bowl his spell of 9 overs in the 20th over and pick up 4 wickets, supported by some brilliant catching from Barney Tyler in slip and Oliver Thompson in the outfield. A very good fielding performance all round with Oxford finishing on 197 all out in the 43rd over.
After tea Oliver Moseley (34) and Billy Clarke (95) went out to bat and put on 138 for the first wicket, with Billy being bowled just 5 short of his century.
Oliver Moseley supported him throughout with some high class defence and after 2 hr 52 min of batting was finally out for 34.
The Island scored slowly until Gary Cooper came in to hit the winning runs to finish on 21 n.o. Giving the Island a well deserved 6 wicket victory.
Well Done lads and good luck against Cornwall on the 18th July.
