Ryde won the toss and decided to bowl first with Bruno Lambert opening up against Ventnor's openers James Attrill and Ben Herridge who both looked comfortable at the crease from the start.
The first and only wicket of the innings fell when Freddie Ware bowled James Attrill for 35. This did not slow the scoring rate as Herridge (53*) retired with a beautiful off drive for 4. Whilst George Willis (43*) and Marcus Horton (23*) continued to score heavily for the rest of the inning which was finished with a massive 6 by Horton to leave Ryde chasing 201 to win the cup.
Ryde's openers Harry Leggett and Joe Martin came out looking to get the inning off to a swift start, trying to score off every ball, but this soon became their down fall as both were removed by Ben Attrill cheaply. The Ryde's batsman continued to try and keep up with the required run rate but this also meant wicket fell regularly with Harry Ridley taking 2-9 and Dan Cox's taking 3-14 of his 4 overs. Ryde's only really resistance came from Jake Curtis who finish 42 not out. Curtis and Michael Woodwood meant that Ventnor were not able to finish the game taking all 10 wickets and left them with 87 run winning margin.
