Ryde Academy's Matt Archer hit an unbeaten 45 to recuse his team from a rocky start which saw them 1-2 after the first over as Charlie Millward and Dexter Collins were both bowled by Carisbrooke's Scott Mcfarlane.

Matt reached 25 and retired with some excellent placed shots and running between the wickets which continued when he returned to the crease. He was well supported by Ethan Moxlow, who's quick fire 25 at the end of the inning helped Ryde set a challenging target of 140.

Carisbrooke's inning started much like Ryde's as they lost a wicket with the very first ball of the inning as Dexter Collins bowled Mcfarlane with a peach of a ball.

The Carisbrooke batsman were never able to recover from the poor start as Ryde kept it extremely tight in the field, which lead to two run outs. Archer finished of his man of the match performance with the wicket of Joe Sewell,

Whilst Mat Tombleson made sure Ryde did not bowl out Carisbrooke. Ryde winning margin being 48 runs.

Both teams were presented with brand new kit bags from Chance to Shine for reaching the final which will mean both school are set up for the summer cricket programme.
