12 Jan 2014 Island Bakeries won the Isle of Wight Indoor Division 2 title on Sunday evening in fine style, with a massive 105-run win over Ryde Cavaliers II. Knowing they had to win and score at least 114, Bakeries batted first and made a positive start through openers Ellis Ridett and Matt Webb. The pair put on 78 in the opening six overs, with Webb quickly retiring on 25. Ridett then followed, making 26, before Tony Cook was dismissed by Jack Halder for 18. Bakeries continued to attack however, and with 36 runs coming in the final two overs, reached 147-2, Ian Simmonds hitting 16 and Sam Richards an unbeaten 14. The Cavaliers run chase got off to a dreadful start as Webb and Richard Robertson ripped through the top order, three wickets falling with the score on six. Only Harry Roberts (12) made double figures for Cavaliers as they were bowled out for just 42. Robertson finished with figures of 3-16 as Bakeries won by 105 runs to take the title.

Newport II also finished their season with a victory as they defeated IW Health Associates by 39 runs. Stuart Gurney and Dan Hayward (both 27*) ensured Newport II got off to a good start with the bat and enabled Tom Stafford (28*) and Mike Watson (27*) to accelerate in the final few overs as they hit 77 runs in the final five overs to finish on 146-0. An early run out put IW Health Associates on the back foot in their chase and two Gurney wickets left them reeling on 32-3. Mark Gordine played well for 20 however, before Will Pratt (14*) and Lewis Lewis (8*) batted out the final few overs to finish on 107-4, Gurney finishing with 2-23.
