Cavaliers batted first and started slowly only managing to score 20 run off the first two over due to some tight bowling by Peter Wright and Devon Pollard. But Cavaliers openers Charlie Millward (45no) and Nial Powell (28) soon found their stride as both retired in quick secession.
Will Tuffrey looked to get Ventnor back into the game with the quick wicket of Dexter Collins for 9. But it was to no avail as Charlie Bligh (26no), Matthew Archer (21) and M Henley (21no) all contributed with some excellent shots and running between the wickets to leave a target of 186.
Ventnor's openers look to get Ventnor of to a positive start and were looking to take runs of every ball but this provide Will Tuffrey's down fall as he was run out for 11 by a direct hit by Millward. Peter Wright and sister Mackenzie looked to build a good partnership until Mackenzie was run out by another direct hit by Millward for 13. Peter eventually reach 25 run and was retired, only to return at the end of the inning to be caught by Millward of the bowling of Collins for 27.. Mat Archer then took the wicket of Devon Pollard with out him scoring, Rory Taylor put on an excellent 26 before being bowled by Powell and the final wicket was that of Will Perrin for 4. Giving Ryde Cavalier's victory by 52 runs.
