Claire Everard - Director (Finance)
I am a sport enthusiast, regularly taking part in cricket, cycling, swimming, sailing and skiing. Although I only started playing cricket in 2019, I have been involved in the juniors set up at Ryde CC for a few years through my eldest son. Initially scoring, then helping with the management of the U11 and U13 teams, and then an All Stars coach. I am also currently in the process of completing my Foundation Level 1 Coaches course.
During 2019 I became involved in the girls and ladies cricket by helping out at their training sessions. I have thoroughly enjoyed this new challenge and have found it very rewarding to see their skill levels progress. I would like to help female cricket develop and grow on the island and to be regularly putting out ladies and girls teams both at club and county levels.
I am enthusiastic and keen to do what I can to help support the IWCB and develop not just female cricket but all aspects of Island cricket through the various clubs and programmes on offer from grassroots level up to elite.
I bring with me a wide breadth of experience from years in the Hospitality and Service sector. Currently the Events/Deputy Catering Manager at Ryde School I have spent the last 10 years developing and coordinating internal school functions and establishing it as a reputable venue for various external events.
Previously I have over 10 years’ experience within the marine industry managing all aspects of super yacht interiors in various locations around the world.
Logging over 100,000 sea miles including a full circumnavigation, controlling budgets, interior crew training and implementing SOP’s onboard. I also spent time as a Yachting Department manager at the UKSA controlling a budget of £2 million p.a, planning staffing schedules, yacht maintenance, refits and student course timetables.
I believe my enthusiasm for the game, business background and drive to move cricket forward on the Island will stand me in good stead within the Board.
