The EWCT small grants scheme is open for application. The schemes aim is to help Clubs to make small, incremental changes to improve the quality and sustainability of cricket provision that:

1. Directly impacts on the playing of the game of cricket, and / or
2. Reduces the operating costs of Cricket Clubs by the purchase of materials.

Eligible Applicants
Any affiliated Cricket Club with a Junior Section* that has ECB Clubmark Accreditation or, as a minimum, is registered and actively working towards ECB Clubmark Accreditation.

*A Cricket Club with a Junior Section is defined as a Cricket Club that offers
appropriate coaching and competition to cricketers under 18 years of age. For more information go to www.ecb.co.uk/clubmark

Clubs who received an award from the EWCT Small Grant Scheme 2012 are not eligible to reapply in 2013.

How much funding can be applied for?
1 Between £200 (minimum) and £4000 (maximum) per application.
2 When calculating the project cost, delivery and VAT should be included.
3 Please note that the amount of award granted may differ from that requested on the application form. Whilst each County Cricket Board (CCB) is given a pre-determined budget for use on its own Clubs, EWCT reserves the right to determine the final award amount and this will only be confirmed in the Offer Letter.

How much Partnership Funding must a Club provide?
1 A minimum of 50% partnership funding will be required from the Club.
2 Partnership funding is the difference between the project / purchase cost and the amount of grant. It can be sourced from Club funds, other grant bodies, sponsorship or loans etc.
3 In-kind contributions will not be considered.
4 If successful, Clubs will be expected to complete their project / purchase within four months of the date of the Offer Letter so should not apply until they have sufficient partnership funding, or a reasonable expectation of obtaining sufficient partnership funding, to proceed within the time frame.
5 The partnership funding may also be provided by way of a loan from the EWCT Interest Free Loan Scheme. For more information go to

6 Excluding Section 5.5 (above), the Scheme cannot be partnered with any other ECB or EWCT capital funding programme.

When does the EWCT Small Grant Scheme open and close?
1 The Scheme will open to applications on 14 January 2013.
2 The Scheme will close to applications on 17 May 2013. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
