The Isle of Wight Association of Cricket Officials are looking to run two umpire course in the new year. The first will be a Introductory course and the second will be a Level 1 Course.

The Introductory Course will run over the evening of the 7th March 2013 from 6-9pm. The course free will be £20pp

The Introductory Course: -
- Provides for supporters, parents and players who want to know more about the game of cricket as either an umpire or scorer.
- No prior knowledge or experience is required.
- 24 hours.
- An ECB ACO Certificate of Attendance is awarded on successful completion.
- Course fee includes all course materials first year membership of ECB ACO, insurance and CRB check.

The Level course will run over 4 Thursday evenings (14th, 21st, 28th March & 4th April) for 3 hours each evening (6-9pm). The cost of the course will be £50pp

Level 1: -
- Aimed at umpires who wish to umpire matches for their club or possibly entry levels of league cricket.
- No prior knowledge or experience is required.
- 1216 hours.
- For umpires - an ECB ACO Level 1 qualified certificate is awarded on passing a 50 question, multi-choice examination.
- Course fee includes all course materials, first year membership of ECB ACO, insurance and CRB check.
