16 Nov 2014 Ben Fooks produced a stunning individual performance as five-man Niton shocked East Cowes in the Isle of Wight Indoor Division 1 on Sunday evening. East Cowes batted first and piled on the runs, making 163-2 from their 12 overs. Alan Johns top-scored with 41*, with Steve Wright (29*) and Mark Hartnell (28*) also retiring, Fooks (2-31) with both the wickets. Niton made an electric start in reply, with 71 runs coming from the first four overs. However, 2-24 from Rob Holdcroft pegged Niton back to 97-3, dismissing both Tom Wells (30) and Wez Maynard (24). Despite the setback, Fooks continued to find runs for Niton in his astonishing innings, hitting seven sixes in an unbeaten 57 as Niton passed their target with three balls to spare and just one wicket remaining. Newport are the only unbeaten side left in Division 1 after defeating Ryde by three wickets. Ryde compiled 133-5 from their 12 overs, Stuart Robertson (39*), Mark Oatley (24) and Josh Procter (24) the top-scorers. Newport, however, looked comfortable in their chase despite a shaky start and passed the total in the 11th over, Gareth Bricknell (31*), Ash Brett (26) and Martin Blackman (25*) providing the majority of the runs. Northwood made it two league wins in a row after beating Island Bakeries by four wickets. Ellis Ridett (29*) was the standout performer for Bakeries as they made 117-4 from their allocation of overs. Gavin Paddock (34*), Jeff Barrett (28*) and Pete Hayward (25*) made sure of a Northwood victory however as they reached their target in the tenth over.

Godshill were the shock winners in Division 2 as they beat cup finalists Ryde II by three wickets. Jadon Buckeridge (36) and Simon Bligh (25) batted well for Ryde II, but stunning figures of 4-6 from Phil Mew saw them bowled out for 117. Ben Herridge (29*) started the chase well for Godshill, before David Winter (26*) helped see Godshill to the win with just two balls remaining, Simon Wratten with 2-36. IW Health Associates got their first victory of the season, beating Northwood II by two wickets. Ben Baker (31) and Callum Witham (30) top-scored for Northwood II, who were pegged back by three wickets in the final over for Souvik Sanyal (3-23), posting 127-5. James Whitewood (3-25) tried his best in reply for Northwood II, but an unbeaten 28 from Sanyal and a crucial 59 partnership from Don Roe (17*) and David Hands (16) saw IW Health Associates to victory with one over remaining. A superb innings from Mike Watson wasn't enough to see Newport II to victory against Shanklin. Matt Lambourne (34) top-scored for Shanklin, who made 154-5, important scores also coming from Benji White (31*) and Simon Mead (24). In reply, Mead returned figures of 2-23, whilst Watson showed his experience to make an unbeaten 65. Despite Watson's efforts, the five other Newport batsmen made a combined total of 14 and they fell 33 runs short on 121-5. IW Prison Officers top the table after their second win in as many weeks. The top order of John Turner (48*), Alex Oliver (34*) and Adam Wilson (25*) ensured a flurry of runs and IW Prison Officers posted 178-3. Harry Roberts' unbeaten 36 was in vain in the chase as Cavaliers fell well short on 111-4, a 67 run win for IW Prison Officers.
