Former Sandown High School pupil, David Griffiths is to leave Hampshire at the end of this season and join Kent for 2014. Twenty seven year old Griff was awarded his first Hampshire contract at the end of 2004, having come through their academy system, and he made his first class debut in 2006, having previously played in the Second XI and also England Under 19s.
Pace bowler Griffiths' best figures for Hampshire are 6-85 against Notts in 2011, whilst his dismissal of Ian Bell in the 2012 Clydesdale Bank 40 Final helped Hampshire win the trophy.
