13 Jan 2013 Newport have retained their Harwoods Renault indoor title after finishing the season with a four wicket win over Niton. Harris Payne took 3-29 to keep Niton down to just 90-5 from their 12 overs, Joby Wells hitting 24. In reply, Tom Dye hit 28* and Gareth Bricknell 20* as the target was chased down in the eighth over for the loss of two wickets. Ryde finished the season on a high, as they beat Ventnor by 20 runs. Ryde batted first and were aided by some early wayward bowling, 61 extras bowled by Ventnor. Jaymie Icke added 29* and Julion Jayerajah 25* as Ryde made their way to 162-3. In reply, Dave Beven hit a superb 56*, but Jayerajah took 2-24 as well as four catches, with Lawrence Tolfrey taking 2-34 as Ventnor ended on 142-5. Ryde Cavaliers also ended with a win as they beat Northwood by three wickets. Daniel Bell hit 29* as Northwood posted a modest 87-4, Harry Bradley taking 2-14. It was Bradley who did the damage with the bat too, he hit 30* as Cavaliers reached their target with four balls to go and three wickets remaining.

Island Bakeries remained top of Division 2 as they kept up their 100% start to the season. They posted 129-5 against IW Prison Officers, with Ellis Ridett hitting 35* and Murray Jones 30, John Turner with 2-28 for IWPO. Turner then hit 28 with the bat, but a wonderful spell of 3-27 from Matt Webb helped see IWPO bowled out for just 86, 43 runs short of the target. Newport II made it three wins in their last three with a 57-run victory over East Cowes II. The experienced pair of Stuart Gurney (40) and Kevin Winchcombe (26*), with the help of 60 extras, saw Newport II up to 171-4 from their 12 overs. Dave Cox (30*) and Rhys Edmonds (26*) batted well for East Cowes II, but they were never near the run rate and finished on 114-1. Shanklin were also comfortable winners as they beat Godshill by six wickets. J Robinson top scored for Godshill with 17 as they were bowled out for just 60, a target that Shanklin chased down with ease in the sixth over, thanks to Jack Winterbottom (27*) and Robin Moore (25*). Ryde II stayed in second place with a 33-run win over Ryde Cavaliers II. Ryde II batted first and hit 145-3, Jadon Buckeridge top scoring with 31*, with fine support from Pete Dickinson (27*), J Fletcher with 2-32 for Cavaliers. In reply, Jack Halder made 28*, but 2-25 from Buckeridge was enough to keep the runs down, Cavaliers ending on 112-4.
