The Isle of Wight Cricket Board is offering the position of Cricket Development Apprenticeship. The role will combine practical learning and study whilst you earn. Your practical work-based learning will be delivered by the Isle of Wight Cricket Board staff and will cover areas such as Sports Development, Sports coaching, Sports sales and marketing, Leading and managing sports volunteers, Strategic management of sports, Sports Health and safety procedures and Well-being of sports participants.

The training and guidance you will receive from the Isle of Wight Cricket Board is designed to add value to our core business. You will be encouraged to lead on projects, research areas of weakness within the business, drive up revenue which are all important aspects of any sports sector business.
Role: Cricket Development Apprenticeship

Approximate time commitment: September 2014 to August 2015. 37hrs a week (7hrs studying and 30hrs work) There will be a need to work in the evening and weekends

Remuneration: £4180.80 (£80.40 a week for 52 weeks)

Entry Requirements 5 GCSE’s A-E

Minimum age: 16 years

Study Areas:
• Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sports Development
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Sports Development
• Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
• Level 3 NVQ in Managing Sports Volunteers
• Functional Skills Level 2 English
• Functional Skill Level 2 Mathematics

Course Progression
Access to higher education. Progression into the Sports Industry.
