Ventnor Under 13s have fittingly won the Under 13 League title, which this season has been renamed the Mal Sketchley League in memory of the Ventnor stalwart, who sadly passed away last year.

Ventnor wrapped up their league campaign on Monday with a comprehensive nine wicket win over Northwood. Northwood batted first and notched up 114 for 2, thanks mainly to 40 not out from opener George Sprack, but an equally impressive 46 not out from Hampshire U12 player Dan Cox saw Ventnor home with overs to spare.

Elsewhere in the Under 13 league, Ryde finished their campaign with a 48 run win over Shanklin, thanks to a magnificent 50 not out from opener Joe Martin in a total of 152 for 4. In reply, twelve year old Jordan Langdon played some beautiful shots on his way to a very impressive 33, but Shanklin were always behind the run rate. Ryde Cavaliers, who finished their league matches a month ago, take the runners up spot.
